Lifeguard Note
- Swimming is permitted in the designated beach zones only.
- Note: Swimming is strictly "at your own risk" as permanent lifeguards are not on duty.

Crucial Beach Regulations
Strictly Enforced State Park Laws:
- Alcohol Prohibition: Alcohol is strictly illegal on the public beach, in parking plazas, and all surrounding state park loop lands. ODNR rangers routinely audit coolers.
- No Glass Allowed: Glass containers are completely banned on the sand to eliminate foot injury hazards. Aluminum and plastic are required.
- Main Beach Pet Restriction: Dogs are completely prohibited from stepping onto the main public swimming sand area.

Located just north of the main beach plaza layout, you will find Central Ohio's premier off-leash dog park property.
- Dual Fenced Fields: Separated run zones customized for both small and large dog breeds to play safely.
- The Private Dog Beach: Fully enclosed, private sandy beach zone where water-loving dogs can sprint, swim, and fetch toys right in the surf.
- Amenities Wash stations, water fountains and dog waste bags are available for your convenience.

Local Dining Options & Boardwalk Comforts
Ditch the packed coolers and enjoy the excellent local flavors parked directly at the beach boardwalk zones.
- Weekend Food Trucks: Peak summer weekends (Friday-Sunday) host a rotating fleet of local Columbus food trucks dishing out street tacos, wood-fired pizza, and craft burgers.
- Sweet Summer Treats: Shaved ice trailers and mobile ice cream units park up to provide frozen treats on hot afternoons.
- Beach Pavilion Snacks: The main beach pavilion includes full restrooms, changing booths, outdoor rinse showers, and a seasonal snack counter.
